Darlington PAT testing firm Skybur Testing was established in 2014. Adrian, the owner, is passionate about electrical safety and believes there is no excuse for cutting corners. He has been testing since 2009, so he knows what he’s talking about! Emma, working from the office, has over ten years’ experience in customer service and finance roles, and qualified as Skybur’s first female engineer in summer 2015. Skybur Testing joined the PAT Testing Network in January 2015, as they shared the aims of improving industry standards and educating you, the customer, to help you make the best decision for your needs.

Although Skybur Testing is based in Darlington, PAT testing services are available throughout the UK as we have engineers based as far afield as Devon and Dundee. There are no extra charges for sites beyond a set distance (although there are additional charges if we have to leave mainland Britain; unfortunately, ferries aren’t free!)

As Adrian worked for a several years on a large subcontract, he met and worked with many other PAT testers who he grew to know. Because of this every engineer working for Skybur Testing hasn’t just been through an interview; they’ve worked alongside him for prolonged periods and he trusts his business with only the very best.

All engineers hold the City and Guilds 2377 certificate and have been DBS checked for your peace of mind. The national network of engineers has been carefully built through prior knowledge of their standards of work, with the belief that your safety should be in the hands of people who are both qualified and competent. To this end, all engineers are required to test to our standards, adhering to the IET Code of Practice and the PAT Testing Network guidelines, and their knowledge and standards are checked periodically with random spot checks and follow-up surveys to clients.
